The records of the North Carolina State University Chapter of the Young Democrats Club include meeting minutes, membership rosters, correspondence, advertisements of meetings and activities, and other general information about the organization. The Young Democrats Club (YDC) has been the official youth arm of the Democratic Party since 1932. A chapter of the YDC was formed at NC State in or before 1954, as an organization for students with democratic political views to collaborate on ideas, and to promote democratic candidates running for various offices, both locally and nationally. The NC State YDC chapter remained active until at least 1986, but has since disbanded.
